Step 4: Reassign as Needed
Life isn’t static. Some months you’ll spend more on heating or medical bills. Other months, you’ll want to splurge on a birthday gift or a short weekend trip.
That’s perfectly okay with zero-sum budgeting. If your expenses change, you simply move money from one category to another. You’re always balancing to zero.
Think of it as moving puzzle pieces around until everything fits.
