You’ve earned the right to these benefits — so don’t leave them on the table. Many retailers, restaurants, and travel companies offer senior discounts that can help you stretch your dollar. But beyond that, there are powerful tax breaks available, too.

Depending on where you live, you might qualify for property tax exemptions, retirement income deductions, or credits for medical expenses. These benefits aren’t always widely advertised, so it’s worth checking your local and federal programs or talking to a financial advisor who specializes in senior finances.
