Every October, millions of Americans age 65+ face the same question: should I stay with my current Medicare plan or switch to something better?

This year’s Medicare Open Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7) might be one of the most important in years. There are new tools, new cost caps, and—yes—some big insurer shake-ups that could affect your coverage for 2026.
